DIY Sports Injury Prevention
Lets get together and talk about one of the most common sports injuries... sprained ankle. I've seen many sprained ankles in my clinic and during coaching volleyball. We talk about what you should do immediately following an injury plus what steps to take to prevent future injuries. Some of the topics we can touch on are: when to apply ice? when to apply heat? when to rest? when to move? stabilization vs. free range of motion, inversion vs. eversion. And anything else we can think of. We don't have to limit the discussion to the foot and ankle either. We can talk about knees, shoulders, wrists etc. Hope everyone can join us!

A friend of mine and fellow chiropractor sent me this very interesting video of Dr. Wayne Dyer talking about the power of chiropractic. This is a great video that everyone should watch. For those of you that are not familiar with Dr. Wayne Dyer he is an internationally best-selling author of more than 30 books including, The Power of Intention. In this short video he shares his views on the status of the current health care paradigm and the role of Chiropractic in the shift away from that current health care mode. Please take a minute and watch the video

 Are You Sleeping Soundly?

Most people these days are not getting the restful sleep they need for their busy lifestyles. One solution to restless nights is a new mattress. All mattresses have a natural life span. If your mattress is more than 5-7 years old you should consider a new one. Purchasing a new mattress can be a daunting task. There are hundreds of different brands, styles and sizes. Which one do you choose? What's the best mattress for your body type and sleeping position?

Let me make it easy for you... Choose a Tempur-Pedic

In fact the RhapsodyBed by Tempur-Pedic was listed as one of Oprah's favorite things.
